Two students in Bondowoso must get special treatment in Koesnadi Hospital Psychiatric Department. From the diagnosis of the psychiatric specialist at the hospital, the two students who were still in junior high school and senior high school was experiencing mental shock due to the addiction of smartphones.
“Brought directly by their respective parents," said Dr Koesnadi Hospital’s psychiatrist dr Dewi Prisca Sembiring, Sp KJ in Bondowoso, when contacted by detikcom on Saturday (19/1/2018).
The reason they both brought to the Psychiatric Department, told Dewi, because her parents are worried about the changes in his son's behavior lately. Namely, began to not go to school in recent months because it is prohibited to use a smartphone.
"Even the child hit his own head against the wall if not given the gadget, and this form of addiction is quite worrying," said Dewi.
More by Dewi, the case of two students who are addicted to smartphones usually only appear on the surface. There could be still many children who experience similar things. But their parents are reluctant to take their children to the hospital.
"The parents may feel ashamed to bring to the Psychiatric Department, or not aware of the problems faced by the child," said Dewi.
Based on psychotest results on one of these patients, Dewi said, indicating that the patient had identified himself as a murderer.
“And yet worse, from the test results one thing that most hated by the child is his own parents, because it is considered as a barrier for himself to use a smartphone," he concluded.
